Starting an Internet Business: Challenges

Starting an Internet Business: Challenges

Jump Starter

Starting an internet business comes with many challenges. Anyone who says that it will be a walk in the park is not being completely upfront. There's a learning curve that comes with starting an internet business and most people who don't succeed on the internet either give up before they've given themselves a chance to overcome those challenges or they don't take the time to learn from people who have faced challenges and overcome them.

One of the major challenges involved in starting an internet business is finding the right niche. A niche is an area in which a business operates and excels and there are so many to choose from that getting the right one can seem overwhelming. Finding the right niche is key to becoming successful online. This can quickly become an overwhelming process because information is rampant on the internet. Information overload stops many people in their tracks!

Another challenge to starting an internet business is trying to listen to too much information at one time. There are a lot of people who have done very well on the internet, and many of those people are willing to share what they have learned at a low cost. Learning from people who have achieved success is a great idea and savvy people will always learn from others but it's important not to try to learn from too many other people at the same time. Finding a good program to learn the tricks of the trade is best, otherwise it's easy to become overloaded with information and to spend too much time learning and not enough time starting an internet business.

Finding the time to put in the work can also be a challenge when starting an online business. For many people, an online business starts as a source of side income. They hope that someday it will become their only source of income, but at first they must find free time to spend working on their new business. This can be challenging with so many other things going on but it's crucial to becoming successful in the world of internet business. Time put in now will pay off over and over in the long run.

Unfortunately some people have bought into the idea that there is no work involved in making a living online. This is simply not true and is a major challenge of starting an internet business. Making a living on the internet takes time and it takes some hard work. The key to starting an internet business and turning it into a success is to remember that hard work put in now will pay off again and again in the future. This is different than the hard work one puts in at their current job that only pays off once!

Starting an internet business can be challenging and even frustrating at time. Learning from others who have already done it and keeping the end goal in mind is the best way to overcome those challenges.

A Timeline of the Sport - History of Skateboarding

A Timeline of the Sport - History of Skateboarding

Jump Starter

There are nearly one hundred different sports that are played around the world. Skateboarding is now considered as being one of the most popular sports of the 21st century. It starts around the year 1950. The history of skateboarding truly begins around the year 1950.

It was around this time that some surfers from sunny California decided to take the same idea as surfing only use it on the streets and this turned into the sport of skateboarding. Skateboards were originally made out of these wooden boxes which were connected to roller skate wheels. The first skateboards were actually made of wooden boxes and this was where the actual history of skateboarding began. Over a decade later in 1963, skateboarding really began to take off as people saw how fun it was and how challenging it could be.

Different contests and competitions began opening up around the world which was encouraging to those who were interested in the sport. Skaters really turned into their own little club and had a certain laid-back, easy going style. Although the sport did take a dive a few times and people weren't sure if it had just been a fad that was gone for good, it came back full force in the 60s or the hippie era. Different skateboarding tricks were invented during these years, including the Ollie.

This trick was created by a man named Alan Gelfand who was an avid skater and known as Ollie. He created the trick by slamming onto the back end of the board while jumping up at the same time and having the board go with him. Today the Ollie is recognized as being one of the most basic and popular moves. From the year 2000 on skateboarding became known as a legit, respectable sport and is now included in contests and competitions all around the world.

People now truly realize just how much balance and skill it takes to be a talented skateboarder and admire those who skate. Today there are different competitions set up all around the world and it's thought that skateboarding may even soon make it in as an Olympic sport. The history of skateboarding is certainly very interesting and will surely only become more over the years to come. Some even think that skateboarding may soon become recognized as an Olympic sport.
